A Camping Hammock hung correctly should allow you a flat sleeping surface that is elevated to chair height. This allows you to avoid anything that would be uncomfortable to lay on during sleep while also providing ease of standing up. It's much easier to enjoy being outside when you have gotten a great night's sleep.
A Camping Hammock is generally twice your height in length with a fixed amount of sag in the middle regardless of how far apart your trees are giving you a consistent position to sleep in. It may or may not have an integrated bugnet or top cover.
No. I teach, show, and loan gear to people to try at outdoor events. When you are ready to buy, you buy directly from the company.
Not exactly, but I do offer gear demos where you can try out these companies' offerings in person before you purchase.
To try out gear overnight, contact me with the event you'd like to join me at from the events page and what gear you'd like to try. We'll have some conversations and I'll bring the gear with me, assist you in setting it up, and take it back when you are done.
The basics are: Support (ideally trees 12-15 feet apart and at least 6 inches in diameter or hammock stand), a tarp with stakes, a hammock, hammock suspension of your choice (may be optional if using a stand), an underquilt, and a top quilt.
